171Broadhaugh5 pieces of ground(McEwan, Symon, Kermath)44 West Rd
The first part (1, red) of ground & growing timber was purchased by David McEwan in 1824, sold to Adam Symon in 1828. Symon built the house on it. In 1836 Symon added the garden ground (2, orange and 2a, blue) and was already using a 12' strip (part 3, green & 3a, purple) as a road. It was only in 1841 that all 5 parts came together as 1 lot and sold to Isabella Mackie & Alexander Kermath.
