| 21 December 1846 … on behalf of Rev Thomas Just, residing Newport, eldest son & nearest heir of deceased Thomas Just lately residing Newport, brother of William Just, mason at Justfield, was presented a feu charter or feu disposition by William Just … William Just disp to Thomas Just & heirs … all & whole that piece of ground part of croft of Broadhaugh & buildings thereon bounded by the King's high road on S, by a mutual wall separating the property from property of Archibald Campbell Stewart of St Fort called Wellgate Garden on W, by the sea flood on N, and by a mutual wall dividing from Thomas Ritchie's property and the NW side of the common road down to the floodmark on the E side … part of Inverdovat … privilege of shipping or unloading goods or anything else to or from the sea by the road aftermentioned under reservation to said William Just & the other feuars of Wellgate Park & Broadhaugh of the privilege of the road as at the date of the feu disp leading from the King's highway through the said piece of ground to the sea … disp to Thomas Just was signed by William Just at Broadhaugh 2 December 1826, witnesses David McEwan writer Dundee & James Johnstone shoemaker Waterside … RS 32/271/67 |
