Cupar 3 Dec 1853 … At Dundee, presented by George Just builder Newport, a feu by Berry, disp. to George Just all & whole the piece of ground & buildings thereon on N side of turnpike from Newport Toll to Newport Pier of 34' frontage to said turnpike and extending as far back as the N wall of the existing Lock Up house on the said piece of ground, bounded on E partly by ground belonging to Berry and partly by a road leading to the granary belonging to -, on S by said turnpike road, on W & N by ground belonging to John Berry, … with access to back of said ground by a footpath leading along the E and N sides thereof … buildings not to exceed one storey and front wall not to exceed 9' above the turnpike …. not to be used as an inn … or manufactory … £1 annual feu duty … feu charter dated 23 Nov 1853 … RS 32/299/196
