Introduction

The whole building was used as a private school from the late 1880s to about 1947. Some teachers lived on the premises. 3 Hillside and 5 Hillside were listed as separate distinct houses from c. 1916. This part is combined with 1 Hillside c. 1955 - c. 1970.
