Edinburgh 27 Aug 1795. Appeared on the ground 23 Aug 1795: Paterson Saunders writer in Dundee as attorney on behalf of Anne Lumsden relict of Peter Kid, late merchant in Dundee, in whose favour the bond & disposition are made, and George Mawer writer in Dundee, baillie … sasine … bond & disp by William Gordon vintner in Dundee to pay to Anne Lumsden £800 and interest & disp to her … (1) all & whole the formerly 2 now 3 mills of Seamills of Inverdivot with the multures & sequels thereof, used & wont, with the den and den lands, the lands & houses formerly possessed by David Webster, the house & yard possessed by Alexander Gourlay, the house possessed by John Rollo, the house & lands possessed by Andrew Lanceman, being all parts of the lands of Inverdivot … all bounded as follows: from the sea south the stripe leading up the Den by the number of - march stones to the uppermost of these stones and then westward in a line to the head of the new inclosure about the Woodmuir then north to the sea by the east ditch of that inclosure, reserving always to Dr James Walker and his tenants and others having his commission a thoroughfare or passage to the [? sand /said] quarry, and which lands were feued by Robert Russel from said Dr James Walker and disponed by Robert Russel to said William Gordon; also (2) all and haill that possession of the lands of Inverdivot with houses and yards all as sometime ago occupied and possessed by Elizabth Paterson, consisting of about 2 acres of ground … bounded the said houses & yards by the high water mark on N, by the King's high road on the S, by the subjects belonging to the heirs of the late James Rae late at Woodhaven on the W, & subjects formerly belonging to John Lyon of Kinnaird now to - divided from the said subjects by march stones on the E; and the arable land of said possession is bounded by subjects belonging to heirs of William Syme of Woodhaven on W, bounded by subjects belonging to heirs of the late James Rae on E, by high water mark on N and by subjects formerly belonging to John Lyon now to - occupied by - on the S side, which last subjects were feued out by John Lyon to David Adam and John Adam, by them to James Taylor and by him to William Gordon; also (3) all & whole that park or field of land called Woodmuirpark, part of the lands of Inverdivot … feued out by said John Lyon to Charles Drummond shoemaker in Dundee, & by him to said William Gordon, bounded by said subjects disponed by said Robert Russel to said William Gordon on E, by Thomas Just's ground on W, by lands of Inverdivot disponed by John Lyon to - Berry & now called Tayfield on the S, by the highroad to the N; … RS 3/547/102
