15 Dec 1708 Elspeth Martine with child to her uncle John Martine in the Waterside. He is an old man and an elder and had been in place of a father to her from her infancy. [He was dismissed from eldership, later excommunicated.] Cited to the circuit court at Perth - sentenced to die at Perth; before he died the sentence of excommunication was taken off, 7 Jan 1709 CH2/160/2 p.27-29
